I am a happy transplant to Mississippi, having been born and raised in California. I attended the University of Southern California for my undergraduate studies, and then continued to Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN for my graduate degree in education. While serving as a Teach for America teacher in under-served schools in Nashville, I developed a love for service and an awareness of impactful community initiatives. In 2016 I moved to Tupelo with my husband to raise our family in his hometown–we have a young daughter and a sweet pup at home–and I immediately got engaged with the Northeast Mississippi community, from my work as Lead Educator at HealthWorks! Children’s Museum, to my roles on the boards of Link Centre and Tupelo Women’s Club. I’m excited to engage with the community-driven United Way supporters to expand their understanding of the incredible agencies we serve, as well as to increase the resources we are able to provide to the region.
