POSITION: CAMPAIGN DIRECTOR

Reports to: President

Position Summary

The Campaign Director is responsible for developing, executing and achieving United Way of Northeast Mississippi’s fundraising and relationship management objectives within a portfolio of workplace accounts. This position performs managerial, sales, public relations, analytical and coordination tasks to support the mission of United Way of Northeast Mississippi (UWNEMS).

Key Position Responsibilities

  • Utilize Andar to maintain accurate account data about workplace accounts, analyze donor information for trends, gaps, and opportunities for revenue growth and develop work plans which maximize potential for giving.
  • Create and achieve annual and long-term business plan objectives needed to secure the resources under management necessary to support the work of UWNEMS. This includes developing and attaining annual fundraising goals.
  • Build relationships to discover individual and corporate interests. Develop and implement a year-round strategic relationship program that encourages workplace employees to give to UWNEMS, advocate for UWNEMS as a community partner and volunteer with agency and UWNEMS initiatives.
  • Implement workplace campaigns best suited for individual locations including in-person, virtual or hybrid opportunities to give.
  • Once funding is secured, create and conduct programs of outreach for donors through T-shirt distribution (or similar activities), and serve as the primary point of contact and relationship manager for key workplace staff (ECCs, HR, CEOs, etc).
  • Provide direction and support to volunteers, including loaned executives, cabinet volunteers and employee coordinator leaders in development of campaign plans.
  • Provide accurate donor information capture in the Andar database and effectively prioritize work responsibilities so that goals and duties are met in a timely fashion and tasks are accomplished within set time and budget constraints.
  • Maximize giving growth through a focused, ongoing year-round emphasis on retaining our current donor base and developing new business opportunities within the workplace campaign.
  • Effectively execute cross-departmental operations. Build cross-training knowledge and relationships among coworkers and across functions to ensure the seamless integration of all aspects of UWNEMS’s mission and vision.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree

Prefer three to five years’ work experience with a proven track record.

Excellent communication, presentation, and organization skills required.

Northeast Mississippi networking capabilities with commercial, industrial, professional, and other sectors of employment a plus.
