Archive of child feeding sites that are no longer active

  • The Guntown Middle School food pantry will be open Wednesday, March 18 from 3:00 to 6:00.
  • Sycamore Church (1212 Nelle Street) will provide free sack lunches Wednesday, March 18 from 11:00 to 1:00. Students that receive free school lunches are eligible. Drive-through to pick up.
  • Shannon City Hall is accepting donations of cereal, water, juice, and other foods from 8:00 to 5:00. Items will be delivered to families in need on Wednesday, March 18.
  • The Mooreville Middle School food pantry will be open for students and families on Wednesday, March 18 from 3:00 to 6:00. Food will be delivered directly to vehicles in the car rider line.
  • Trooper’s Dairy Bar is providing 10-20 lunches per day for children March 16-20 from 10:00 to 1:00. Call 662-346-4421 to reserve a meal.
  • D’Cracked Egg in Tupelo is offering a free breakfast for single parents and their pre-K through 8th grade children on Friday, March 20 from 8:00 to 9:00.
  • Lunches will be delivered to Tupelo Trace Apartments on Tuesday, March 17 and Wednesday, March 18 at 12:00
  • The Saltillo Police Department is accepting donations of food, water, and other drinks from 8:00 to 3:00.
  • Netty Nutrition in Nettleton will provide sack lunches on Tuesday, March 17 and Thursday, March 19 between 10:30 and 12:30.
  • Students 18 and under can receive a free lunch daily Wedneday, March 18 through Friday, March 20 at these locations and times:
    • 11:00 – Chandler’s Temple CME Church – 114 Holloway Avenue, Verona
    • 11:30 – Hilldale Apartments
    • 12:00 – Boys & Girls Club North Green Street
    • 12:00 – Kirkwood Apartments
    • 12:00 – Nathaniel’s Place (near Barley Court)
    • 12:00 – Saltillo Community Center
    • 12:00 – South Park Manor
    • 12:00 – Tupelo Housing Authority Lawhon
    • 12:00 – Tupelo Trace Apartments
    • 12:30 – Boys & Girls Club Haven Acres
    • 1:00 – The Glen @ Kirkwood
  • First Baptist Church of New Albany will provide 500 sack lunches Monday-Friday, March 16-20, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to any child in the elementary, middle, or high schools in New Albany. These sack lunches will be free of charge and can be picked up in the Family Life Center located behind the First Baptist Church and the Union County Courthouse on Main Street.
  • Ellistown Baptist Church in Blue Springs will provide food for East Union students on Tuesday from 8:00 to 5:00. Call 662-534-6920 for more information.
  • Spuds in Pontotoc will offer free sack lunches to kids affected by school closings beginning Tuesday, March 17 from 11:00 to 12:00.
  • Sherman Church of Christ will provide free breakfast and lunch to school-aged children Tuesday, March 17 through Friday, March 20 from 11:00 to 1:00.
  • First Baptist Church in Ripley will have lunches for pickup on Monday, March 16 and Tuesday, March 17 from 11:30 to 1:00. Families who need lunches for the entire week can pick them up from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on those days.
  • Ripley Second Baptist Church at 709 North Adams Street will serve lunch from 11:30 to 1:00 on Friday, March 20.
  • The Tupelo/Lee County Hunger Coalition will provide meals on Monday, March 23 at the following locations:
    • 12:00 – Papa V’s Parking Lot (Verona)
    • 12:00 – Tupelo Trace Apartments
    • 12:30 – Boys & Girls Club Haven Acres
  • Nettleton School District will have lunch pickup for any child 18 and under at the awning between Nettleton High School and Nettleton Upper Elementary School on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 11 am – 1 pm. Child must be present in the vehicle to receive a meal. Suspended until April 17.
  • The Aberdeen School District will offer grab-and-go lunch beginning Tuesday, March 17 and as long as the district is closed. Pick up at Aberdeen High School at the entrance by the gymnasium from 9:30 to 11:30 (updated time because breakfast is now being served). Park and Rec will also help to deliver. Temporarily suspended.
  • Nettleton School District will have lunch pickup for any child 18 and under at the awning between Nettleton High School and Nettleton Upper Elementary School on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 11 am – 1 pm. Child must be present in the vehicle to receive a meal.
  • Booneville Schools will begin the feeding program for anyone ages 0-18 at Anderson Elementary’s bus rider line from 9:00 to 11:00 on Mondays and Wednesdays. Monday’s bag will have food for two days, and Wednesday’s bag will have food for three days. Students must be present and accompanied by an adult, and everyone should remain in their vehicles. Program Suspended
  • South Tippah School District: Due to the continued increase in the number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Tippah County, the South Tippah School District will continue to suspend its food service program for the week of March 30th.
  • Eight Days of Hope is providing 20,000 lunch and dinner meals for individuals living within the Tupelo city limits, beginning with dinner on Tuesday, March 24. Visit FeedTupelo.com or call 662-255-7565 to sign up for meal delivery.
